With its Moorish past and year round Mediterranean climate, Andalucia is the exotic soul of southern Spain. The great classical cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada stand as monuments to the country’s rich past, whilst the resorts of the Costa del Sol boast a well developed tourist infrastructure. Your tour will cover the classical sites of the region, with a quiet beachside resort as an ideal base to ensure a memorable and restful trip.
Day 1 - You depart on a morning flight to Malaga. On arrival, transfer by private coach to your hotel, with free time prior to dinner.
Day 2 - Morning guided city tour of Malaga visiting the city’s main historical sites including the Paseo de la Farola Park, Plaza de la Farola (Picasso’s birthplace in 1881), Roman Theatre, Cathedral and the 13th century Moorish Palace (internal visit). Afternoon free for individual sightseeing and shopping. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 3 - Full day excursion to Granada. Short guided tour of the city to see the main sites prior to visiting the renowned Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 4 - Morning free for individual sightseeing. Afternoon excursion to Mijas, an enchanting Andalucian village set high up in the mountains with spectacular scenery. Free time for souvenir shopping. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 5 - Full day excursion, to Cordoba, capital of the Moorish kingdom in Spain. Visit the medieval quarter and the Alcazar Fortress. Free time for individual sightseeing and shopping before returning to the hotel for dinner.
Day 6 - Full day excursion visiting Ronda, Puerto Banus and Marbella. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 7 - Transfer to Seville, the cultural heart of Andalucia. Afternoon guided tour of the city’s main sites, including the Cathedral and the Alcazar. Check in at your hotel, prior to a special dinner in with traditional entertainment in a local restaurant.
Day 8 - Optional excursion to Jerez or free time for last minute shopping and sightseeing before your return flight to the UK.
The above itinerary is flexible and can be changed to include any visits of particular interest to your group.
PLEASE NOTE: for those who prefer, the trip to Seville can be taken as a full day excursion returning to your beach resort for the last night’s accommodation, with a free day at the beach on day 8. You will then fly back to the UK from Malaga. The journey from Playamar to Seville is approximately 3.5 hrs.
A touring itinerary can be arranged with accommodation in each city if preferred.

- Gilbraltar (Full Day) - Gibraltar is a peninsula off mainland Southern Spain which belongs to Great Britain. It consists of a rock 3 miles long by three quarters of a mile wide and has a population of 29,000 people, most of whom are bi-lingual, speaking Spanish and English. The main religion is that of Roman Catholic and its currency is the pound sterling. The strait of Gibraltar (the stretch of sea) between North Africa and Spain is guarded by The Rock of Gibraltar on the north side (European) and the Jebel Musa on the south side (African) - the so-called Pillars of Hercules. Its main function is a trading port handling imports and exports to and from the Mediterranean Sea.
